Pack the bus
Thank you to everyone who donated to the City Mission for Pack the Bus. We collected a lot of things from Normandale School.
We also has a special visitor come with the bus.... I wonder who it was...?

Hutt Indoor Sports Centre Trip
Yesterday we went on a trip to Hutt Indoor Sports Centre. We played lots of games and were all very tired when we got back to school at the end of the day.

Majestic Heroes Toy Sale
What fun we had choosing a toy to buy from the toy sale. Well done Majestic Heroes as you raised money to save the endangered Maui dolphins.

Flax Weaving
We were lucky to have a visit from Jolie from the Dowse Gallery today.
Jolie told us a story about Papatuanuku, Ranginui and their children. She then shared with us how to harvest flax (harakeke) and finally how to make a flax taniwha.

Skittles
Today we put some skittles around a plate. Next we poured some hot water on the plate. The colours on the skittles started to dissolve and made a pattern. It looked amazing!

Onesie Day
Today we helped raise some money for Wellington Free Ambulance. We wore our onesies, pyjamas and or dressing gowns to school. We had a parade in the hall where we saw everyones onesies.

Enviro Day
On Wednesday we had a really fun day. It was Normandale Schools very first Enviro Day.
We started by looking at an electric car and comparing it to a 'normal' car. Can you see the differences? Do you know which car is the electric car?
Next we got into Whanau groups and did different activities.
We made beeswax sandwich wrappers, playdough, bags from an old tshirt, and some yummy things we could put in our lunch boxes - bliss balls, popcorn and hummus and veges.
